In “The Business of Writing”—a core course in the Pressed for Success program—you’ll learn about the three main publishing models and how concepts like assumption of the risk and platform viability influence your chances of being picked up by an editor or agent. You’ll gain valuable insight into what agents and editors expect, how the market works, where the money goes and what (realistically!) you should expect to earn as an early-career author. This three-hour seminar is the prerequisite for some more business-technical seminars planned for later in the year, so don’t pass this one up!
